Future by Design: ABAC AR+D Opened Doors to Creativity

High school students stepped into a world of ideas, imagination, and hands-on discovery on Friday as ABAC Architecture and Design (AR+D) at Assumption University of Thailand (AU)  welcomed prospective creatives to ABAC AR+D Future by Design 2026 at the University’s Suvarnabhumi Campus.

Held at the AR+D Building from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the free open-house event invited students to explore architecture, interior design, and product design through interactive workshops, studio activities, and creative exercises designed to spark curiosity and encourage self-expression.

A Day to Explore, Create, and Imagine

The event gave students more than a Campus visit. It offered them an opportunity to test ideas, engage with design thinking, and experience the kind of creative energy that defines design education at AU. Throughout the day, participants moved through activity stations, experimented with concepts, and created pieces they could later include in their portfolios.

The atmosphere was lively, youthful, and forward-looking, reflecting the school’s effort to make design feel both accessible and exciting for the next generation. For many students, the event served as an early glimpse into how creative talent can be developed into purposeful work.

About ABAC Architecture and Design

ABAC Architecture and Design (AR+D) is known for its international learning environment and its commitment to developing creative thinkers who can respond to the needs of a changing world. The school encourages students to blend artistic vision with practical skill, innovation, and critical thinking across a range of design disciplines.

At a time when the worlds of design, lifestyle, and mobility increasingly overlap, the event also highlighted the wider relevance of architecture and design beyond the studio. Spaces shape how people live, gather, learn, and travel, and the next generation of designers will play an important role in shaping those experiences.

A Creative Gateway to the Future

By the end of the day, ABAC AR+D Future by Design 2026 had done what a strong open house should do: it helped students picture themselves in a new environment, imagine new possibilities, and begin to see creativity not just as talent, but as a pathway.

With its mix of exploration, experimentation, and inspiration, the event showcased how ABAC AR+D continues to nurture future designers who may one day shape the spaces, products, and experiences that define modern life.
