Magic of Japanese Songs: ABAC Senior Recital Cast Its Spell

ABAC School of Music spotlighted Akanat’s senior recital with Japanese-song magic.

Assumption University of Thailand (AU)  turned its attention skyward to Martin Hall on the 24th floor of the CL building, where the ABAC School of Music staged a senior recital with a clear point of pride: Akanat Boonchaiapiwat (Non), stepping into the spotlight with “Magic of Japanese Songs” (日本の歌の魔法) on February 19, 2026.

It was the kind of program that balanced charm with craft: Japanese songs delivered with intention, musicality, and the calm confidence of a performer reaching a capstone moment. Akanat led the afternoon on vocal, backed by a tight ensemble that gave the recital lift, texture, and drive—Tarit Poobangkerdpol (Book) on guitar, Liu Shangjun (Joey) on drums, Chotipak Hongsuwong (Santa) on bass, and Punnaplaritt Yup (Austin) on piano, alongside the Senior Band.

Hosted at Martin Hall (CL, 24th floor), Suvarnabhumi Campus, the recital marked more than a date on the calendar. It read as a milestone: a final-year performance shaped by training, collaboration, and the kind of stage presence that hints at what comes next.
