Graduate Studies Speaker of the Month Highlights the Future of Smart Marketing Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’ s Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management proudly welcomed Prof. Dr. Lars Meyer-Waarden as the June 2025 Speaker of the Month, delivering a thought-provoking talk titled “AI-Based Technologies and Smart Marketing” at Hua Mak Campus on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
The session attracted graduate students, faculty, and industry enthusiasts eager to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping marketing innovation, customer engagement, and business strategy. Prof. Meyer-Waarden, a marketing expert from the Toulouse School of Management, also serves as the Director of the Master in International Marketing of Innovation—a dual degree program co-hosted by AU and partner institutions in France, China, and Hong Kong.
Throughout his keynote, Prof. Meyer-Waarden encouraged the audience to embrace technology not as a threat but as a tool for deeper connection. “At the heart of our mission lies supporting young people to find their way in life, to open doors, and to believe in themselves—especially when the road is uncertain,” he shared. Adding, “To all students out there: your journey inspires us just as much as we hope to inspire you. To all fellow educators: never underestimate the impact your encouragement can have. Sometimes, a few words of belief can change a life.”
He also extended appreciation to AU’s global academic network, stating, “Let’s keep building bridges—between cultures, countries, and people.” His message resonated with many students, who viewed his insights as both timely and motivational.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, followed by a group photo and networking opportunity among students and staff.
This month’s session reflected AU’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, global partnerships, and leadership in AI-driven business education.
