Assumption University of Thailand (AU) ’s Office of Graduate Studies and Office of International Affairs warmly welcomed its newest cohort of graduate students—freshmen 681–xxxx—at a dynamic and engaging orientation held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Salle d’Expo, Hua Mak Campus.

The event began with registration and warm greetings from the MC before Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaninthorn Jittawiriyanukoon, Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Dean of the Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management (GS-BATM), delivered the opening remarks. His message emphasized academic excellence, community engagement, and personal growth throughout each student’s journey at AU.

A lively ice-breaking activity, “Find My Friend,” quickly energized the room and sparked new friendships. This was followed by an insightful session on the essentials of the Office of Graduate Studies—highlighting services, expectations, and opportunities available to all graduate students.

A highlight of the morning was the workshop led by Dr. Sirichai Preudhikulpredab, Director of the MBA.HTM and Ph.D.HTM programs. Widely respected for his commitment to shaping future leaders in hospitality and tourism, Dr. Sirichai inspired participants with practical advice and academic strategies grounded in real-world relevance.

Alumni and current students from the master’s programs shared their personal experiences in a lively panel session, offering a candid and encouraging look at life as a graduate student at AU. The Q&A session that followed provided an open forum for new students to voice questions and connect directly with peers and mentors.

The event concluded with closing remarks, a group photo, and a relaxed networking lunch. Attendees also received a special souvenir from the Graduate School as a thank-you for participating in the post-event survey.

As the morning came to a close, one message rang clear: the AU graduate experience is not just about earning a degree—it’s about discovering a supportive academic family, cultivating meaningful connections, and stepping confidently into the future.
