In an effort to bolster educational connections and foster cross-cultural understanding between Thailand and China, a delegation of distinguished administrators from Assumption University of Thailand recently embarked on an enlightening educational excursion to Tianjin and Beijing. This seven-day journey, which took place from October 8th to 14th, 2023, was meticulously coordinated by the Confucius Institute of Assumption University (CIAU), in partnership with Tianjin University of Science and Technology.
The primary focus of this delegation's visit was to exchange invaluable teaching experiences and immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Chinese culture, all in pursuit of enhancing the teaching of the Chinese language. Throughout their sojourn, these administrators engaged in profound discussions and shared their best practices with their esteemed Chinese counterparts, cultivating a fertile ground for knowledge exchange in the realm of educational administration.
Their visit to China encompassed a series of enriching encounters with key educational institutions, including the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, the Chinese International Education Foundation Center (CIEF), and Tianjin Vocational Institute. These meetings served as a pivotal platform for dialogue on potential collaborative ventures, further fortifying the educational bonds between these two nations.
However, this journey was not solely an academic endeavor; it was also a cultural odyssey. The delegation had the privilege of exploring iconic landmarks such as the awe-inspiring Forbidden City, the National Maritime Museum of China, and the illustrious Tianjin Museum, among others. These cultural escapades not only deepened the delegation's appreciation for China's historical treasures but also provided a profound insight into the rich tapestry of Chinese culture and history.
Ultimately, this educational voyage had a twofold mission: to enrich mutual understanding between Thailand and China and to explore promising avenues of collaboration.
