Assumption University's Center for Student Leadership and Experiential Learning, under Student Affairs, successfully hosted the Student Development Coordinators Seminar on October 6, 2023. The event took place at Assumption University, Suvarnabhumi Campus and began with an inspiring opening speech by A. Sorana Arunrat, Dean of Student Affairs.
The main goal was to forge strong collaborations between academic and student affairs divisions. The seminar brought together 30 distinguished advisors from all faculties and student affairs units to share insights and strategies for enhancing student learning and development.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthol Prathumarach, Vice President for Student Affairs, opened the event with his keynote speech on the "Montfort Vision towards Youth Development". This was followed by a talk on collaboration between academic and student affairs by Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The seminar showcased top-tier student activities across all faculties and discussed future directions for student development. Topics covered included challenges in student development, ways to collaborate, and support for student success and happiness.
The seminar concluded successfully with plans for stronger inter-departmental cooperation to enhance the overall academic and non-academic experience for students at Assumption University.
