Thai government has given a policy through Ministry of Industry to create wealth and sustainability for cooperative farmers and community enterprises. The project “One Province One Agro-Industrial Community or OPOAI-C” under product and packaging development activity and in-depth training on development of bio-entrepreneur is being conducted throughout Thailand.Ratchaburi Provincial Industry Officehas selected a team of lecturers from Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology as consultants for this project.

In this fiscal year of B.E. 2564, outcomes of the project atRatchaburi Provinceare acknowledged asnational success cases. Products developed from this project show the transition of innovation and technology into agricultural commodities, increasing value and reducing waste significantly as promised inBio-circular Economy policy.

Assumption University graduates and undergraduates have participated in this project. This teaches them real-life industrial challenge and hands-on experience to involve in product development.Ministry of Industryhas invited the team from Assumption University of Thailand to take parts insuccess case video productionto be broadcasting in the near future. The filming is planned at locations throughout Ratchaburi Province on Oct 5, 2021.
