Assumption University's John XXIII Conference Center buzzed with activity on November 25-26, 2023 as educators and healthcare professionals gathered for a specialized workshop. Organized by the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science and the INACSL Thailand RIG, the event focused on simulation scenario writing — a key tool for training in the healthcare sector. Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, the President of Assumption University of Thailand warmly greeted and welcomed all participants from all over the country.
The two-day workshop kicked off with Dr. Weyaruth Sritthumsuk, INACSL Thailand RIG Chair, Assistant Professor Dr. Onouma Thummapol, the project manager, and all INACSL Thailand RIG committees. Dr. Weyaruth Sritthumsuk welcomed the attendees with an engaging academic address. Following him, Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, the Dean, opened the event with encouraging words about the importance of simulation in nursing education.
The 60 participants were taken through the paces of scenario writing by Major Artitaya Taottho and all excellent trainers. Her insights as a seasoned nurse and consultant were invaluable, blending theory with real-world application.
On the second day, the focus shifted to presenting and critiquing the scenarios. This interactive session provided a platform for participants to showcase their work and gain feedback in a supportive setting. This scenario writing workshop was supported by FOUR D E.M. Company Limited.
As the workshop drew to a close, the participants left not just with enhanced skills, but also with the satisfaction of having contributed to the advancement of healthcare education. This workshop underscored Assumption University’s commitment to practical, hands-on learning, ensuring that its community stays at the forefront of educational excellence and innovation.
