(Bangkok, Thailand) Assumption University, the first international university in Thailand, recently organized an exhilarating library orientation session to empower Ph.D. ELT students with the essential skills and resources needed for successful English Language Studies research.

The EG5000 Research Methodology for English Language Studies, led Dr. Marilyn Fernandez Deocampo, Director of the English Language Teaching (ELT) Department at the Graduate School of Human Sciences, visited the library on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Ph.D. ELT students were the beneficiaries of this remarkable training, meticulously designed to assist doctoral candidates from Yunnan Agricultural University (YAU), China who were eager to effectively utilize Assumption University's extensive library resources. The English Language Studies department collaborated with the university library to deliver an enlightening and interactive experience.

The training was expertly organized by Ms. Punchaliga Intanam (P' Pen), an experienced and passionate librarian. P' Pen provided invaluable guidance on navigating the university's database, finding books (both printed and online), and using tools like EndNote and Turnitin for citation management and academic integrity. P' Pen delightedly imparted valuable skills that enable the students to navigate vast amounts of information and enhance their research projects using academic resources.

Assumption University remains dedicated to providing an enriching and supportive environment. The library orientation for Ph.D. ELT students reflects the university's commitment to academic excellence and ensuring students have the necessary tools to thrive.
