Assumption University's Arts Performance and Personality Club recently concluded its high-profile MC workshop titled "Beyond the Stars," receiving unanimous acclaim from participants and faculty alike. The event, which took place on December 12, 2023, in the SCIT Building's Room 0101, was part of the university's ongoing efforts to provide practical, career-enhancing education.

Headlined by distinguished alumnus P'Joe Chonlawit, renowned TV host, event emcee, and communication coach, the workshop drew a crowd of enthusiastic students, all eager to learn from one of the university’s most illustrious speakers, affectionately known as the 'Superman' of public speaking.

The workshop’s focus was on the principles of presenting, professional public speaking techniques, and the development of effective problem-solving skills. Attendees had the chance to immerse themselves in learning about professional presentation, enhancing their public speaking skills, and practicing vocal tones and body language.

The event was not only an opportunity to learn but also a homecoming celebration for P’Joe, who expressed his gratitude and delight at being able to give back to the university that had shaped his early career. "Seeing the passion and potential in the room was truly inspiring," P’Joe remarked. "The future of public speaking looks bright with these talented individuals at the helm."

Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the hands-on approach and the relevance of the skills they acquired. "The workshop went beyond my expectations. It was informative, engaging, and incredibly motivating," said one of the students.

The 'Beyond the Stars' workshop has not only lifted the spirits and skills of AU’s aspiring MCs but also potentially saved the day in true superhero fashion. Participants left not with a cape, but with something far more powerful: the ability to captivate an audience with just a microphone and confidence. It's safe to say that the only thing 'faster than a speeding bullet' was the speed at which these students absorbed the wealth of knowledge presented to them.

The Arts Performance and Personality Club might not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but it certainly knows how to elevate public speaking to new heights!
