MMU is a public university located in Manchester, England. It was founded as a teacher training college in 1824 and later gained university status in 1992. MMU is known for its strong focus on practical, career-oriented education and has a diverse student population.
On March 29, 2023, the Executive Team from MMU consisting of Professor Liz Warren, Head of International Division, Dr. Dario Tom Dieck, the Deputy Head of Department and the Department International Lead, Dr. Kostantia Litsiou, International Lead and Senior Lecturer, Department of Marketing, Retail, and Tourism, Dr. Joe Duffy, International Lead and Senior Lecturer, Filmmaking, Rachel Kelly, the International Lead for Design and Special Academic Lead for MA/MSc Textiles within the Design Department at Manchester School of Art, and Catherine Oram, Regional Development Manager, Southeast Asia visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU). The visit was due to our shared academic cooperation and student exchange programs.
On this occasion, both sides established the 2+2 and 3+1 articulation agreements for undergraduate programs at the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, and the Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design.
Assumption University of Thailand (AU) was led by Dr. Soonthorn Pibulcharoensit, University Registrar, Dr. Punnaluck Satanasavapa, Chairperson of Marketing, Dr. Sasithorn Phonkaew, Chairperson of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Asst. Prof. Suparath Valaisathien, Dean, Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design, Asst. Prof. Chutarat Laomanacharoen, Chairperson, Department of Product Design and Program Director of Multidisciplinary Design, and Dr. Marissa Chantamas, Dean, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts. Together they welcomed honorable guests at SG-106, St. Gabriel’s Hall, Assumption University of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Campus.
