Bangkok, September 10, 2023 — Assumption University of Thailand is pleased to announce the successful opening of the Sufficiency Agriculture Technology Learning Center Building and Raised Vegetable Plots for Local Organic Farm Project, a momentous occasion that took place on September 10, 2023, at the My House Farm in Ladgrabang District, Bangkok.

Organized by the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, in collaboration with GSB Omsin Yuwaphat Rakthin and the Farmpak Charnmeaug Sub Project, this event marked a significant milestone in promoting sustainable agriculture, job creation, and community development.

The ceremony brought together leaders, educators, and community members, all committed to enhancing the future of local organic farming. Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthol Prathumrach, Vice President for Student Affairs delivered an inspiring opening speech. Mr. Paisal Tarasansombat, The CEO of TMT Steel Public Company Limited, also graced the occasion, expressing his goals and expectations for supporting the project. Their presence underscored the importance of corporate social responsibility, environmental, social, and governance initiatives, and their role in fostering job opportunities.

Executives from the Government Savings Bank lent their support to the Government Savings Bank Yuwapat Rakthin Project, emphasizing their commitment to community development and cooperation.

The Director of Lat Krabang District, a key advocate for job creation and career opportunities in the community, delivered a heartfelt speech, highlighting the positive impact this project would have on the district.

 
 
 

To symbolize the spirit of collaboration and environmental conservation, administrators from four institutions joined together to cut the ribbon and plant trees, marking the official opening of the learning center. The owner of the suburban vegetable farm expressed gratitude for the project's support and its potential to transform local agriculture.

As a fitting conclusion to the festivities, all attendees were invited to explore the My House Farm, where they received a guided tour from the farm owner, complete with an enlightening lecture on the farm's operations.
