“On Wednesday evening, December 14, 2022, Princess Bajrakitiyabha fainted while training her dog for a contest in Nakhon Ratchasima province, the Royal Household Bureau said on Thursday.”

According to a Palace statement, Princess Bajrakitiyabha lost consciousness while she was preparing the dogs to take part in the Thailand Working Dog Championship organized by the Royal Thai Army 2022. The event was being held at the Military Dog Battalion in Pak Chong district from December 10 to 19.

With Princess’ convalescence at the hospital, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) requested all Higher Education Institutes to organize ceremonies to offer blessings to HRH Princess while wishing Her Highness to recover soon from her illness. The ceremonies are intended to be in simultaneity with other nationwide institutes.

Hence, the University Office of Thai Art and Culture organized ceremonies, one at the Hua Mak Campus led by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), AU administrators, faculty, staff, and students in attendance in this ceremony. At Suvarnabhumi Campus the ceremony was led by Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Student Affairs with the participation of AU administrators, faculty, staff, and students.

During both ceremonies, the President and Vice President symbolically placed floral bouquets before the Princess’ portrait and also wrote messages on specially arranged books offering their wishes for the Princess to recover good health soon. The University community also signed the books in offering their good wishes for the Royal Princess’ recovery to good health.
