Mr. Ahasanul Islam Titu, an esteemed alumnus of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), has recently been appointed as the State Minister for Commerce in Bangladesh. This significant appointment marks a notable progression from his roots in Nayapara, a small village in the Tangail district, to a key figure in national governance.
Mr. Ahasanul is a magna cum laude graduate from Assumption University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. His time at AU laid a strong foundation for his multifaceted career. Further enhancing his academic credentials, he acquired an MBA from Pittsburg State University, USA. His professional trajectory includes influential roles in the financial sector, notably as the Managing Director of Mona Financial Consultancy and Securities Limited and the President of the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
In his new role, Mr. Ahasanul is tasked with the challenging responsibility of managing economic stability, particularly focusing on controlling the rising costs of essential goods in Bangladesh.
