Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU) visited the owner of Smile Lanna Hotel who is one of the AU alumni in Chiang Mai. This hotel has survived the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic and posseses the slogan of "An Expression of heartful Hospitality.” It’s located on Chang Lor Road at Tambon Hai Ya Amphur Muang Chiang Mai. It was founded by Khun Paisarn Sukjarean who graduated from Assumption College Sriracha (ACS), Saint Gabriel’s College and Assumption University, Theodore Maria School of Arts, Department of Business Chinese, and his wife Ms. Somsri Thammasarnsophon who is a well-known English teacher under the name of Kru Somsri and is also the owner of "Kru Somsri's English School." Ms. Thammasarnsophon once worked as a teacher at Saint Gabriel’s College and she got an opportunity to pursue an MA degree at Chulalongkorn University and later she was an instructor at Assumption University of Thailand.
