WRITER: CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE AT ASSUMPTION UNIVERSITY
On November 1st and 2nd, 2023, Confucius Institute of Assumption University (CIAU) visited Theresa Upatham School, Nakhon Ratchasima Province and Marndawanarak School, Buri Ram Province.
CIAU members were warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr. Peter Surachai Charoenpong, School Manager of Theresa Upatham School, Sr. Warinya Silakhot, Director of Theresa Upatham School, Fr. Sombat Prathumpee, School Manager of Marndawanarak School and Sr. Watcharaporn Nakpansa, Director of Marndawanarak School.
During these visits, the representatives shared insights into the educational environment of their respective institutions. They also expressed their mutual interest in collaboration on Chinese language teaching.
Additionally, CIAU teachers organized various engaging Chinese cultural activities for the students, such as calligraphy, Chinese circular fans painting, facial makeup painting, ink blowing painting and shuttlecock kicking.
These visits not only strengthened the bond between AU and the Catholic schools, but also provided students with a broader spectrum of language learning opportunities, expanded their international perspectives, and ignited their enthusiasm for language acquisition.
