Assumption University of Thailand (AU) warmly welcomed faculty members and students from ITE College West, Singapore, to its Suvarnabhumi Campus for a cultural exchange that blended tradition, sport, and international friendship.
The visit was highlighted by an energetic Muay Thai Workshop, led by members of the AU Muay Thai Club. Through hands-on demonstrations and basic techniques, the visiting students were introduced to the “Art of Eight Limbs,” experiencing Thailand’s cultural soft power in the most memorable way possible—sweaty, smiling, and slightly sore (the good kind).
Beyond the workshop, the delegation enjoyed a guided tram tour of the campus, taking in AU’s iconic architecture and expansive green spaces. The tour concluded at the John Paul II Sports Center and AU’ s Aquatic Center, a world-class facility and official venue for the 33rd SEA Games 2025, offering guests a close look at the infrastructure supporting one of Southeast Asia’s largest sporting events.
The exchange fostered meaningful connections between Thai and Singaporean students while reinforcing AU’s role as a globally engaged institution, one that pairs cultural depth with international-standard facilities and welcomes partners from across the region with open arms.
