In his welcome address, Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry, highlighting how the partnership will provide students with hands-on experience and prepare them for the evolving automotive landscape.

“To continuously and deeply advance the Sino-Thai international talent cultivation project in the new energy sector, we have gathered here today to witness the significant moment of establishing a Belt and Road Initiative New Energy Innovative Engineering Center through university-enterprise collaboration,” said Dr. Sirichai. “This collaboration will produce highly qualified talents in the new energy intelligent vehicle service field and contribute to the overall development of the industry.”

Mr. Xu Yin followed with remarks, reaffirming MG’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. “This collaboration is more than an agreement; it’s a commitment to MG’s vision of a leading role in the global automotive arena. Together with Assumption University, we will build a foundation for a sustainable and innovative future for Thailand’s role in the global automotive landscape,” Mr. Xu said.
