Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Campus), August 26, 2025 — Assumption University of Thailand (AU), and National Taichung University of Science and Technology (NTCUST), Taiwan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to strengthen academic exchange and research cooperation between the two institutions. The MoU was signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs, AU, and Dr. Ching-Wei Cheng, Vice President, NTCUST. The ceremony was witnessed by faculty and staff from both universities and approximately 50 members of the NTCUST Alumni Association.

Under the agreement, AU and NTCUST will collaborate across multiple fronts, including faculty and staff exchanges, undergraduate and graduate student exchanges, joint research and publications, joint academic programs and conferences, sharing of scientific materials and information, and cultural exchanges. The Office of International Affairs at each university will serve as the lead coordinator for activities under this MoU. The MoU is effective for an initial five-year period from the date of signature.

Today’s signing reflects AU’s commitment to expanding high-impact global partnerships and creating new mobility and research opportunities for students and faculty. Implementation will begin with coordinated exchanges and a schedule of joint seminars during the coming academic year, followed by additional programmatic initiatives developed by the two Offices of International Affairs.
