AU and Gakushuin University Strengthen Ties Through Professor Kubo’s Visit

The Office of International Affairs, at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) was honored to welcome Professor Koji Kubo, Ph.D., Director of the International Center at the Faculty of International Social Sciences, Gakushuin University, Japan, on August 25, 2025.

As one of AU’s longstanding partners, Dr. Kubo’s visit reinforced the strong academic ties between Thailand and Japan, with a special focus on advancing international collaboration and expanding opportunities for student mobility.

Campus Engagement and Student Connections

Dr. Kubo began his program at the Theodore Maria School of Arts, where he met with visiting students from Gakushuin Women’s College currently participating in a short-term study program at AU. He observed classroom activities, exchanged ideas with AU faculty members, and toured the Suvarnabhumi Campus. The visit concluded with a luncheon discussion hosted by the Theodore Maria School of Arts, further strengthening dialogue between the two universities.
