The Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed students, alumni, healthcare partners, and distinguished guests on March 23, 2026 for Nursing Convocation Day: Class of 2025, a ceremony that marked a deeply meaningful milestone in the journey of the University’s future nurses.
Held at the Hua Mak Campus, the event celebrated the professional transition of the graduating class as they pledged their commitment to compassionate care and service to society. The ceremony reflected not only academic achievement, but also the professional identity, dedication, and lifelong mission that define the nursing profession.
Framed by the theme, “Nurturing Global Leaders to Serve Every Heart in Society” the convocation highlighted the values at the heart of nursing education at AU: compassion, leadership, and a profound sense of responsibility to others. It was a moment that brought together the academic community and the healthcare sector to honor graduates preparing to serve both locally and globally.
One of the central moments of the ceremony was the academic address delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Onouma Thummapol, Dean of the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science. Opening remarks were delivered by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, whose presence underscored the significance of the occasion for the University community.
The program featured the pinning ceremony and professional signature for the graduating nurses, followed by the pledge of loyalty by the graduate nurses. Together, these moments symbolized the students’ formal passage into the profession and their public commitment to the standards, ethics, and spirit of nursing.
The event also included professional experience sharing by alumni representatives, giving graduates a chance to hear reflections from those who had already begun their own journeys in healthcare. Hospital booth presentations created opportunities for networking with healthcare partners, while a photo session and celebration of nursing excellence added warmth and festivity to the afternoon.
More than a ceremonial gathering, the convocation served as a tribute to the values that shape the profession itself. It celebrated not only what the Class of 2025 had achieved, but also what they now carried forward: the duty to care, the discipline to lead, and the heart to serve.
As the afternoon came to a close, the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) sent its graduates forward with pride and hope, recognizing them as the next generation of nurses who will bring healing, dignity, and compassion to every community they touch. For the Class of 2025, this was more than a ceremony. It was the beginning of a lifelong calling: to lead with knowledge, to serve with heart, and to care for others with courage and grace in a world that needs both skill and humanity more than ever.
