Anniversary of Graduate Studies, the 40 th years Anniversary of Theodore Maria School of Arts and the 10th Anniversary of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University, reflecting the University’s enduring commitment to academic excellence, cultural dialogue, and global partnership.

Campus Transformed by Vision and Collaboration

For one unforgettable evening, the Suvarnabhumi Campus was transformed into a hub of cultural celebrations, an achievement made possible by the vision, dedication, and seamless collaboration of the event’s organizing teams. Through meticulous planning and inspired execution, the campus became a living stage where tradition, creativity, and community converged.

The celebration opened with traditional Lion and Dragon Dance performances, electrified by dramatic fire effects that thrilled audiences and infused the night with energy and spectacle. A chill mini-concert followed, blending contemporary sounds with festive spirit, while elegantly curated lantern displays cast a warm, golden glow across the grounds, creating an immersive Lunar New Year atmosphere.

Adding to the sense of abundance and hospitality, guests were treated to complimentary food and refreshments from more than 30 food trucks and stalls, offering an amazing  mix of flavors and experiences. The thoughtful flow of performances, lighting, music, and cuisine reflected the organizers’ exceptional attention to detail and deep understanding of the AU community.

Together, these elements transformed the campus into a space of connection, showcasing what is possible when teamwork, cultural pride, and creative vision come together in harmony.

Chinese New Year Grand Celebration 2026: Welcoming the Year of the Horse

The celebration coincided with Chinese New Year 2026, the Year of the Horse, a symbol of energy, resilience, leadership, and progress.

The Year of the Horse carries special meaning for AU, where the horse has long stood as a powerful institutional symbol and mascot. In the context of Chinese New Year 2026, this symbol resonated with renewed relevance, celebrating motion, ambition, and progress toward the future.

Celebrating 41 Years of Graduate Studies: Advancing Knowledge, Shaping Leaders

The evening also commemorated the 41st Anniversary of Graduate Studies at Assumption University of Thailand, honoring more than four decades of academic leadership, research advancement, and postgraduate education. Since its establishment, Graduate Studies has played a central role in cultivating scholars, professionals, and leaders equipped to contribute meaningfully at national, regional, and global levels.

The milestone reaffirmed AU’s commitment to interdisciplinary learning, innovation, and international collaboration, key pillars in preparing graduates for an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

A Decade of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University

Marking its 10th Anniversary, the Confucius Institute at Assumption University stood as a symbol of sustained China–Thailand academic and cultural cooperation. Over the past decade, the Institute has actively promoted Chinese language education, cultural understanding, and people-to-people exchange through academic programs, cultural activities, and collaborative initiatives.

A highlight of the anniversary was the Book Donation Ceremony of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Multilingual Editions), reinforcing the Institute’s role as a platform for scholarly dialogue and global perspectives on governance, development, and international cooperation.

Moving Forward—Together

Together, the three celebrations formed a powerful reflection of AU’s vision: an institution where culture, scholarship, and international partnership converge. As the University moves forward in the dynamic spirit of the Year of the Horse, the evening stood not only as a celebration of past achievements, but as a confident stride toward a future shaped by collaboration, excellence, and shared purpose.
