Assumption University of Thailand (AU) officially kicked off Semester 1/2025 with the AU SIMBA Welcome Orientation on Monday, June 9, 2025, bringing together new and returning students (ID numbers 673XXXX–681XXXX) for a cheerful and informative start to the academic year.

The AU SIMBA (Smart Integration in Management & Business Analytics) orientation was held simultaneously at both Hua Mak Campus and Suvarnabhumi Campus. Students were welcomed with a short but meaningful 45-minute session that introduced them to key university services, support channels, and reminders for a successful semester.
The event wasn’t just about logistics—it was a chance to build a sense of community and connection. The AU Simba mascot stood proudly as a symbol of courage, leadership, and unity, reminding students that they’re now part of something bigger: a proud and diverse learning family.

Developed through collaboration between AU’s Graduate School and four key academic partners—the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology, the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts and the Theodore Maria School of Arts the SIMBA program delivers a future-ready education that bridges theory with practice. Students graduate with the ability to create innovative, sustainable solutions in both regional and global business contexts.
A Pathway to Two Degrees in Four Years
One of SIMBA’s most compelling features is the opportunity to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in just four years. Multiple study pathways are available, including:
Three years of undergraduate study at AU followed by one year in a master’s program at AU
Two years at AU and one year at an international partner university, followed by a one-year master’s program
Hybrid options that combine undergraduate and graduate studies between AU and overseas institutions
Students can select from a range of undergraduate programs in business, data science, engineering, communication, and more, followed by master’s programs from one of AU’s nine graduate schools. The curriculum is regionally and globally accredited, with credit transfer options and double-degree arrangements available through strategic international partnerships.
What Sets SIMBA Apart
The Open House also introduced attendees to key advantages of the SIMBA experience:
- Flexible learning and tailored academic pathways
- Industry-driven, experience-based coursework
- Opportunities to study and work abroad
- One-to-one faculty mentorship
- Affordable tuition structure
- Polite casual dress code
- A centrally located, tech-enabled Bangkok campus
Scholarships and global immersion programs
Additionally, students entering the third year of the undergraduate track may opt to complete one year of study in China, graduating with dual undergraduate degrees from AU and a partner university. These offerings enhance students’ global mobility, competitiveness, and practical readiness for high-impact careers.
Conclusion and Connections
Following the orientation, students continued on to their regular classes—making it not only the first day of the semester but also the first step on their journey toward academic and personal growth.
As the poster says, “Let’s make it a great beginning”. And, at AU, every new beginning is a chance to grow, explore, and shine.
The SIMBA program at AU continues to position itself as a top-tier choice for students seeking to accelerate their academic journey while gaining valuable international experience and real-world skills.
