WRITER: VINCENT MARY SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology has organized “VMES 2nd International camp: Chengdu, China” from 22nd – 29th May 2025. In the event 39 AU students, Staff and Lecturers participated. The camp was led by Narong Aphiratsakun, Dean of Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology and Benjawan Srisura, Assistant Dean of Administrative and Student Affairs.
This international camp is in collaboration with Chengdu Vocational and Technical College of Industry (CVTCI), Chengdu China. AU members are warmly welcome and goodbye with formal opening and closing ceremonies which was led by CVTCI leaders; Diao YuanYuan, Party Committee Member and Vice President Chengdu Vocational and Technical College of Industry, Ding Tianxia, Party Committee Member and Dean College of Intelligent Manufacturing and Automobile, Jiao Yan, Director of International exchange Office.
Chinese culture, 3D printing and automobile assembled were in-door activities that have been prepared and provided to our AU members. In these activities, students have learnt Chinese culture and new technology that China has advance to.
For out-door activities, AU members visited Giant Panda Breeding Base to explore cute Pandas as a symbol for Chengdu, Kuan Zhai Alley for old town site seeing, Sichuan Cuisine Museum to learnt about history of Sichuan food. AU members also visited Dujiangyan which is the oldest existing irrigation system in China. We have 1 day to visit downtown for Chinese culture shopping foreseeing.
Overall, AU members have enjoyed the International Camp with knowledgeable of both Chinese cultures and Chinese fast innovation Technology. We would like to thank to Assumption University and Chengdu Vocational and technical College of Industry for this wonderful collaboration.
