From Studio Lights to Simulated Flights, a Day of Discovery and Connection

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) had the distinct honor of welcoming a group of Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate Province, based in Houston, Texas, USA, on June 13, 2025, for an inspiring visit to the Suvarnabhumi Campus. With hearts full of joy and a spirit of exploration, the sisters brought grace, wisdom, and a powerful sense of purpose to every moment of their visit.
Their main objective ? To visit their sisters’ places of ministry and study in Thailand. “We’ve heard so many good things about AU,” one sister shared. “That made us even more excited to visit. Our simple plan for a short tour became a profound and unforgettable experience.”
The journey began at the CA Creative Arts Studio, where the sisters explored AU’s dynamic media and design spaces. They stepped into the world of digital storytelling, green screen production, and creative communication—discovering how AU fuses innovation and inspiration in meaningful ways.
Next stop: the VMES Labs—where technology takes off and imagination takes flight.
The sisters were immersed in AU’s cutting-edge Flight Simulator, where students train to navigate the skies. From there, they toured the Aircraft Maintenance Lab and Engineering Workshop, witnessing firsthand how AU blends rigorous technical training with ethical, values-based education. “It was like watching science fiction rooted in faith,” one sister remarked in awe.
Throughout the day, their presence uplifted everyone they met. Their genuine admiration for AU’s mission—especially its dedication to holistic education grounded in ethics, service, and global citizenship—left a mark on the campus community.
