A Bright Start to Christmas at Both AU Campuses
Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed the festive season with double the sparkle as both the Suvarnabhumi and Hua Mak campuses lit their Christmas trees in joyful celebrations filled with music, community spirit, and heartfelt meaning. Organized by the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO), the ceremonies brought students, faculty, staff, and families together for an unforgettable start to the holiday season.
Suvarnabhumi Campus Shines with Evening Magic
In the evening of December 3, 2025,
The Suvarnabhumi celebration glowed even brighter this year as Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University, led the official Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. His presence and joyful spirit elevated the event, making the moment the tree lit up feel even more meaningful for everyone gathered.
Guests cheered as the tree burst into brilliant light, surrounded by festive décor and the nativity scene that grounded the celebration in its spiritual meaning. AUSO’s dedication and joyful energy made the night a heartwarming reminder of togetherness and gratitude across the AU community.
Hua Mak Campus Sparkles with Afternoon Cheer
On December 4, 2025.
Earlier in the day, Hua Mak Campus welcomed the Christmas season with a lively celebration at the entrance of A Building. Student representatives opened the program before the highlight of the afternoon: a warm and inspiring welcome speech by Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, f.s.g., Ph.D., beloved Rector Magnificus of Assumption University.
He spoke about the importance of showing up in the true spirit of Christmas, urging everyone to look inside themselves and share kindness, generosity, and a spirit of giving. He reminded the AU family that the real gift of the season is the light we share with one another. Moments later, he led the Hua Mak tree lighting, filling the plaza with festive radiance. Carols, student performances, and holiday smiles filled the campus with Christmas joy.
A Community United by Light and Hope
Although celebrated on two campuses, the meaning behind both ceremonies was shared: Christmas at AU is a time of unity, reflection, hope, and generosity. From bright lights to bright smiles, the celebrations captured the heart of the university, where faith, family, and community shine the brightest.
