On March 23, 2025, MBA students from the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) program, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) along with exchange students, spent the day exploring how Bangkok’s cultural gems are being preserved—and reimagined—through entrepreneurship.
Led by the ever-inspiring Dr. Sirichai Preudhikulpradab, the group visited The Wireless House, Sarapad Thai at One Bangkok, and an OTOP (One Tambon One Product) showcase at Phenix Mall. Each stop offered a glimpse into how local businesses are blending tradition with innovation.

The Wireless House, once Thailand’s very first radio station, is now a cozy café and cultural spot—proof that historical spaces can find new life while still honoring their roots. At Sarapad and the OTOP destination, students saw how Thai craftsmanship is evolving to fit modern tastes, without losing its authentic charm.
One student summed it up perfectly:
“Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in preserving heritage and spreading local wisdom while integrating into the creative and modern economy.”

The trip was a great reminder that even in a fast-moving city like Bangkok, there are places where the past and present come together in inspiring ways. As another student put it, “You can still find real Thai culture in the most unexpected corners of the city.”
More than just a field trip, the experience reflected the strength of AU’s HTM program, known for its innovative approach and hands-on learning. Under Dr. Sirichai’s thoughtful leadership, students are encouraged to think critically, explore deeply, and connect global ideas with local culture.
