The Assumption University of Thailand (AU) Rector Magnificus Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, f.s.g., Ph. D. and Mr. Glen Chatelier attended the decoration Ceremony for an AU Alumnus, Mr. Gaudenzio Enzo Peroni ( MSc CP, class of 2000) at the invitation of the Italian Ambassador Mr. Paulo Dionisi at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador, on March 16, 2026 in the evening. Mr. Peroni was awarded the decoration of Commander of the Star of Italy, recognizing his success in the business of bringing Italian lifestyle cuisine to Thailand and more, for highlighting Italian UNESCO Heritage sites. Furthermore, drawing upon his AU degree he has led Pan Asian workshops on Leadership and Emotional Quotient attributes in the new leadership or the 21st. Century. Commander Peroni is the only known leading expert on the Art and Management applications of Leonardo da Vinci and has lectured on the theme to the Kyoto, Sophia, Oxford,Chulalongkhorn , AIT and AU Faculty, Students and Alumni. His decoration on March 16, 2026 is the second, having earlier been awarded the Cavalier of the Star of Italy by the President of Italy.
The evening decoration ceremony was followed by a warm and sumptuous dinner attended by Thai social elites, government representatives, academics and long standing friends of Mr. Gaudenzio Enzo Peroni and his wife, Mrs. Theresa Peroni.
