Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed industry partners from Tai Thai Rubber Co., Ltd. for a dynamic visit on 21 November 2025. The event showcased AU’s practical approach to connecting students with real-world industry experience, a model reflected in partnerships such as the ongoing collaboration with the University of Northern Iowa (UNI).
Led by Ms. Yiting Lin, Vice Managing Director of Tai Thai Rubber, and Professor Christine Schrage from UNI, the group explored the Suvarnabhumi Campus and engaged in discussions with AU faculty. At the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology, Dr. Rapee Ujjin and Dr. Ravivat Rugsaj provided a hands-on demonstration of AU’s Aircraft Maintenance facilities, highlighting how engineering education links academic theory with real practice.
This visit sparked plans for further collaboration. Future activities may include welcoming students from the University of Northern Iowa for a short-term program in Thailand, featuring site visits to Tai Thai Rubber Co., Ltd to experience leading-edge manufacturing and rubber engineering firsthand.
By sharing experiences across academic and corporate settings, AU and Tai Thai Rubber are reinforcing the vital connection between education and industry for the next generation of business and engineering leaders.
