In a milestone moment for academic collaboration, the Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Food Research and Product Development of Kasetsart University on May 7, 2025.

The event marked more than a handshake—it was a strategic fusion of shared values in food science, biotechnology, and innovation. The partnership promises to revolutionize food industry education, foster joint research, and develop future-ready graduates aligned with Thailand’s 4.0 New Growth Engine industries.
The signing also spotlighted AU’s Food Tech123 program, proudly hailed as Thailand’s first 3-year food technology degree, offering students three cutting-edge tracks:
- Food Technology
- Food Biotechnology
- Food Tech Design & Entrepreneurship

With its “hands-on, business-minded, globally connected” model, Food Tech123 cultivates Global FAB Industry Entrepreneur-Technologists (F: Food, A: Agriculture, B: Biotechnology), ready to launch real startups through its “Food-Bio Factory” experience—even before graduation.
The collaboration with Institute of Food Research and Product Development at Kasetsart University—one of Thailand’s most respected research institutions—opens the door to joint curriculum design, internships, and real-world research opportunities involving industry, communities, and government agencies.
It’s a recipe for success, cooked up by two academic powerhouses committed to shaping the future of food innovation in Southeast Asia and beyond.
