On June 18, 2025, Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), chaired a preparation meeting for the upcoming 10th Art and Cultural Excursion of the Ruamchit Normklao Foundation for Youth under the Royal Patronage. The meeting was held at the Public Relations Department, Meeting Hall, bringing together key stakeholders to coordinate this milestone event.
Since its inception in 1994, this national-level initiative has promoted cultural pride, youth development, and the preservation of Thai heritage. Marking its 10th edition, the 2025 Excursion will be held from October 21–25, 2025, with the collaboration of Assumption University of Thailand, the Ruamchit Normklao Foundation, and a broad network of government and private partners.
This year, scholarship youth representatives will once again be selected from all 77 provinces of Thailand to take part in this enriching journey—designed to immerse participants in Thai traditions, values, and identity.
As host, AU has appointed its Office of Thai Arts and Culture, Student Affairs, to take the lead—reaffirming AU’s mission to preserve and promote Thailand’s cultural legacy through education, youth empowerment, and public engagement.
Founded in 1982 to mark the 200th anniversary of Rattanakosin, the Ruamchit Normklao Foundation was initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana and Mom Ngamchit Burachat, with support from ten leading national organizations. The Foundation has provided over 35,000 scholarships, totaling more than 287 million baht, to support underprivileged students at all levels of education.
