| The ACUCA 2021 Management Conference and the 24th General Assembly (GA) took place on December 2 and 3, 2021. These two activities were hosted by the ACUCA Secretariat, Silliman University, The Philippines, whose President, Dr. Betty Cernol McCann served as the ACUCA President, 2019-2021. |
The theme for this year’s conference was “Journeying Towards Preferred Futures at Christian Higher Education Institutions.” Assumption University of Thailand’s President Rev. Brother Dr. Bancha Saenghiran,f.s.g. served on the ACUCA Executive Board, 2019-2021, and The Director of the office of International Affairs Mr. Glen Chatelier also participated in the Executive Board as Officer Designated
Mr. Glen Chatelier moderated the Academic Conference on December 3, 2021 with a total of eight presentations and a good number of reactors to the presentations. The online Zoom Conference was attended by 126 participants from 40 (out of 69) member institutions representing countries such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, The Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong S.A.R, Thailand, Myanmar and India. Overall the Conference was impressive for the depth of discussions, the diversity of representations and the enthusiasm of the Christian zeal which was displayed through prayer, song and institution missions.
