The Product Design Department, Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) organized the Product Design: Incubation Workshop Student Startup Project “Smart Entrepreneur” on March 17-18, 2022.

The Incubation Workshop Student Startup Project “Smart Entrepreneur” is a work display of senior students’ project of Product Design Department, bringing knowledge and experience from studies to design the works and develop to the products, and to receive ideas and experience of the speakers who have been successful in brand’s production and development, eventually, become the entrepreneurs. In addition, the students are able to apply these ideas and experience to their own works in the future.
The details of “Smart Entrepreneur” event are as follows:
March 17, 2022: at 3rd Floor, the Cathedral of Learning Library, Suvarnabhumi Campus
Khun Saraan Youkongdee, the owner of SARRAN brand, one of the costumes and accessories designers of Lalisa Manoban’s (aka Lisa BlackPink) first solo album in Lalisa, gave the special lecture on topic “Inspirational Session.”
Khun Saraan addressed that a brand design needs to build deeply intimate relationship with users by comparing to the relationship of a married couple which is an emotional intimacy, or the level of life, just as SARRAN, designing a brand dedicates to his mother who is a precious woman, and he has broadened this precious value to other women.
Khun Saraan also attended the students’ works at Skyhigh Design Gallery, Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design.
Followed by Khun Nagara Na Nagara, the founder and owner of developmental toys for kids “Taksa Toys” with a distinction of blending nature with imagination and internationally creates unique products gave the special lecture on topic “Grounding Ideas.”
Khun Nagara addressed that the origin of his ideas started when he was a university student and did the art thesis.
Then, it came to the point that he wanted to expand his artworks to the business, therefore, he has worked with his parents to form the business and expand their business worldwide.
March 18, 2022: Zoom Meeting
Khun Decha Archjananun, the owner and founder of a design studio “THINKK Studio”, who received the Designer of the Year Awards 2013: Furniture Design gave the special lecture on topic “Think Like THINKK.”
Khun Decha addressed that the various ideas can be used to design the differentiated products which respond to consumer’s behavior and emotion, and they are the fundamental of marketing success. Khun Decha not only shared his experience of changing himself from a designer to an entrepreneur, but he also shared the knowledge and experience on product management of your personal brand and other brands he is taking care of. This knowledge and inspiration will benefit the students, who are interested in design, develop themselves into self-branded entrepreneurs in the future.
