Senior nursing students of Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science studying NS3429 Community Focused Nursing Practicum under supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriporn Poonruksa and Dr. Chavalee Boonto conducted health promotion activity for primary grade five students of Prabhassorn Vidhaya School, Chonburi on February 24, 2022 with the good cooperation of a school director, Dr. Chonlakorn Tanpraphat.

During a period that all Thais fight against with COVID-19 pandemics, the students and instructors of BLNS approached it as our challenges to initiate new method for teaching and learning. In subject NS3429 Community Focused Nursing Practicum, our senior nursing students were required to do school health promotion activity. The activity was set based on three needs of primary school students including hygiene care, malnutrition and allergic prevention. The BLNS’ senior nursing students performed health education and trained students of this school for proper skills using digital media in form of PowerPoint, VDO, Poster, Games, and Kahoot via Zoom application. On this occasion Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, Dean and Dr. Supa Pudkasam also participated in the activity and kindly supported nursing students for their challenging activity during COVID-19 pandemics.
