Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President - Rector Magnificus led one Father from Burkina Faso and eight Sisters from India, Myanmar, Thailand to pay a visit to Assumption University of Thailand (AU), Suvarnabhumi Campus, on December 16, 2021. The party visited various faculties and offices as follows:

Sala Chaturamuk Paijit
 - It is the biggest Chaturamuk pavilion in Thailand situated near AU lake. The design seamlessly combines both Thai and Western architecture. Apart from displaying the Thai tradition inside, it is also used to house important events and activities. For example, it was used to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on June 27, 2002. Moreover, it has been used to host participants who take part in national and international level seminars and other Thai festivals like Songkran or Loy Kratong;

St. Raphael’s Hall
 - At this 4-story building, the group visited Rev. Bro. Dr. Prathip Martin Komolmas, President Emeritus’s Office, University’s Archives, VIP room and Grand Salon which is normally used to host major ceremonies so as to honor those who have contributed to the University as well as the nation. The room is decorated similarly to Versailles Palace, France. The custom-made area rug is handwoven without stitching, the chandelier was imported and Khomphat Curtains are specially made in Thailand;

St. Michael’s Hall
 - At this 4-story building connects St. Raphael’s Hall and St’ Gabriel’s Hall. Its distinctive feature is the two stairs on both sides of the building which have different designs. Connected to St. Raphael’s Hall is a spiral staircase which is designed exquisitely not to have any columns or beams. A huge chandelier is hung from the ceiling and on the walls are paintings of Brothers and the management team. On the other hand, a square staircase is next to St. Gabriel’s Hall side. It has the same design and decorations as the other staircase without beams and columns also. Along the hallway of the first floor are Office of the University Registrar, Admissions center, Office of Financial Management, Office of Human Resources Management, Center for Student Personality and Campus Life, Student Affairs, Physical Plant Department and Academic Documents and Examination Department;

St. Gabriel’s Hall
 - The first floor consists of Academic Documents and Examination Department, Office of Inventory Management, Office of Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Office of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Meeting rooms and Office of The President;

Chez Jean Pierre, Crystal Restaurant
 - The 2-story glass building is used as the training ground for the students of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics and for organizing banquets for several occasions. The Crystal Restaurant also receive the excellence award from the Emerson Cup 2011 organized by Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. On July 18, 2012;

John XXIII Conference Center
 - This is a 2-story convention center whose first floor comprises a big venue for banquets and second floor several meeting rooms: A room for 400 participants, 80 participants, 60 participants, six rooms for 30 participants, a VIP room, a secretary room, and two interpretation rooms;

Wild Park
 - This large area is full of different species of plants. There is a path throughout the park both sides of which are benches and recreation areas for students to do activities. In the middle there are a cave called Our Lady of Lourdes and a waterfall creating a pleasant atmosphere inside;

The Hallowed Hall of Great Thinkers
 - The hall is along the hallway which connects the two buildings of Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics. Ten sculptures of philosophers and scholars are placed there to motivate faculty members and students to pursue higher education;

AU Residence Halls
 - The place consists of three buildings: King David and Queen of Sheba, female dormitories and King Solomon, male dormitory, with a total of over 1,200 rooms. Most of them provide two beds while others may have three of four. Each room is facilitated with a water heater, desks, closets, a fridge, a shoe cabinet, an air conditioner, a television, and the Internet. Surrounded by these three buildings is King’s Court which comprises four basketball courts, two Sepak Takraw courts, and a recreation area for university activities like a Christmas festival or the 40th World Universities Debating Championship 2020 on December 31, 2019, hosted by AU;

AU Museum
 - This University’s museum has three stories with a clock tower on the top. Many paintings about The Annunciation, HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and HM Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, nature, models of Parade of Royal ships, and other miscellaneous collectible items from many important individuals and institutions are collected at this museum;

John Paul II Sports Center
 - The indoor gymnasium can accommodate up to 3,000 people. There are a basketball court which can be converted to a volleyball or futsal court, a fitness room, a snooker room, and a squash room. Outside the gymnasium are one indoor tennis center court which can house 500 people, four indoor badminton courts, and a 25-meter indoor swimming pool. The place sometimes is used for several ceremonies such as Wai Kru ceremony, Freshman Orientation, and Freshy Day & Night Party. It was once a place where a volleyball competition for Universiade Bangkok 2007 was organized;

Assumption University’s Aquatic Center
 - This indoor swimming pool is 50m in length and can accommodate 2,000 people. An Olympic-size diving pool is also in the same building and it is used to host Assumption University Swimming Championships Martin’s Cup as well as other competitions;

Communication Arts Studio
 - The studio used for students’ training belongs to Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts. This 4-story building contains a shooting studio, a black box theater, recording rooms, editing rooms and control rooms, all of which are equipped with advanced technological equipment suitable for training students who want to pursue this profession;

 - The group visited the exhibition hall displaying students’ product designs;

The Cathedral of Learning
 - The company also paid a visit to the King room which is used to receive VIP guests during several occasions and on December 7, 2019, was used to receive HM Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. A wishing ceremony on the occasion of HM King’s Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great’s and HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s Royal Birthday is also organized annually;

AU Library
 - Brother Martin’s Collection on the sixth floor imitates Rev. Bro. Dr. Prathip Martin Komolmas, President Emeritus’s office and exhibits records and awards such as royal decorations, Honorary Doctoral Degree Awards, and mementos from several individuals and institutions in order to inspire students and visitors in their own work.
