On May 27, 2021, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, Preseident-Rector Magnificus, Assumption University of Thailand and Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Dean of Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanida Ngienthi, Associate Dean of MSME and AU-Yuwaphat Rakthin Project Leader along with Dr. Akechai Judkrue, Director of ABLE University Business Incubator Center hosted a reception to warmly welcome and also presented the souvenir of appreciation to the Government Saving Bank (GSB) delegates.
The purpose of this visit was to receive the Yuwaphat Rakthin Project final report and outcome of year 2020. The AU-Yuwaphat Rakthin Project has been implemented throughout the year 2020 in order to develop knowledge, support and enhance the experiences for students to realize the importance of the responsibility to the community, to support the economic sustainability and the well-being of the participating communities.
Closing Ceremony of GSB Yuwaphat Rakthin Project 2020
In collaboration with Government Saving Bank (GSB), Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, Assumption University of Thailand, by Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Dean, has appointed a working committee to oversee the Yuwaphat Rakthin (ยุวพัฒน์รักษ์ถิ่น) project which has the objectives to support the economic sustainability and the well- being of the local communities and social enterprises in Samut Prakan area.
The project has started since March 2020 and comprised seven teams according to the types of products and services.

- Abacologist – business name: Cheaw 47 Farm
- GEN Y – business name: Boutip Accessories
- ShoezaMania – business name: Walk with Hmee
- 5G – business name: Sirimala
- Samai Mai (สมัยใหม่) – business name: Som Samai Thai Massage (กลุ่มหมอนวดป้าสมสมัย)
- Ton On Ban Chan (ต้นอ่อนบ้านฉัน) – business name: Pak Chan Mueng (ฟาร์มผักชานเมือง)
All teams have achieved in enabling the local business owners to create a greater value to their business by incorporating innovative solutions via modern technology and social networks to enhance their distribution channel and productivity.
On April 8,2021, the project closing ceremony was held at the AU Plaza, Suvarnabhumi Campus. Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President - Rector Magnificus, gave a warm welcome to the GSB representatives and all the project participants including the local business owners, the working committee, chairpersons, lecturers, and students.
AU people were given a chance to visit the booths to shop for exclusive items from the project. There were presentations from the participating teams and the highlight of the whole day event was the awarding ceremony to the best team which is “Abacologist” and will enter into the next round to compete against other teams from all over the country to win best of the best award held in July 2021.
