AU Students Displayed Excellent Thai Speech & Language Communication Skills

Even though, prestigiously recognized as Thailand’s First International University with an International English Language as the medium of instructions, Assumption University does not neglect or overlook  the students’ Thai Language proficiency or excellent Thai communication skills; integrating the excellent oratorical Thai speeches into Thai classroom teaching and learning.

As the language speech is an art of communication, it is necessary for the speakers to practice the art of speech and public speaking.

To this end, Office of Thai Art and Culture, Student Affairs, in coordination with the Department of General Education, Theodore Maria School of Arts, organizes the Thai Speech Contest annually to promote the proper usage of Thai language for effective public communication and significantly express sincere appreciation, effective application and honoring the eloquently used royal speeches, proper oral and written communication of the Chakri Dynasty.

This year speech contest under the topic of “Using knowledge in the Correct ways for Human and National Development” was organized on December 22, 2020 at the CL Building, Suvarnabhumi Campus.

The finally voted four winners were awarded honorable certificates and cash prizes of respectively 2,000, 1,500, 1,000 and 500 Baht.

The AU Speech Contest’s winners  will eventually participate in the “Higher Educational Institutions National Speech Competition Honoring and Tracing the Footpaths of the Royal Chakri Dynasty or Appropriately Used Royal Court Language”

Final champions of the national-level contest will be awarded H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s honorable trophy.

This Thai Speech Contest is of vital significance; encouraging, promoting and recognizing the AU students’ outstanding Thai speech or oral communication skills.
