Mr. Yanatorn Premkamol, a Golf Team Advisor from Center for Sports and Physical Fitness Department, Assumption University of Thailand, attended the press conference of "Chang - AMG Thailand Junior Golf Tour 2021" as Assumption University of Thailand has recently become a partner of this world class golf tour supporting athletes/golfers in higher education institutions.

Such a mission is spearheaded towards developing Thai youth golfers to reach the outstanding level of professional golfers for fame and greater future benefits of the country.

This “CHANG-AMG Thailand Junior Golf Tour” (Tournament) has been certified or recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking: R&A (one of the governing bodies of golf worldwide, alongside the United States Golf Association (USGA) which awards accumulative marks or scores of world youth golfers.

Assumption University of Thailand offers all kinds of athletic scholarships including outstanding golfers. To be considered for Athletes Scholarship Grants by Assumption University, students must be enrolled at Assumption University of Thailand and must have joined Thailand National Youth Games or Thailand National Games and any other sports games or tournament that meet World Class standards.

Therefore, golfers joining such tournament who achieve certain recognized wards or earning trophies will stand the chances of being granted the mentioned athletic scholarships by Assumption University.

The first student who received “Assumption University Athletes Scholarship” is Ms. Masarina Rattanavoraviroj of Theodore Maria School of Arts.

Next month (on March 12-13, 2021), she will participate in the competition of “BCPC Junior Golf Open 2021”, at Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club, Chon Buri Province. Let's join on sending her encouragements and moral supports during this momentous tournament.

Presently, Assumption University Golf Team comprises 9 student golfers who will be joining this year (2021) national level tournaments: "Chang - AMG Thailand Junior Golf Tour 2021", “Chang Golf U Champions Cup 2021” and “The 48th of Thailand University Games”

Golf enthusiasts or interested individuals may follow further progress and developments of all these schedules tournaments of all our AU athletes.

The Assumption University Golf Team is under the Center for Sports and Physical Fitness, managed by Rev. Bro. Dr. Achin Tengtrakul, Acting Vice President for Student Affairs. The Center for Sports and Physical Fitness located at Suvarnabhumi Campus.



Their job is to monitor programs and activities for competitions and to encourage all members of the au community accessing sports and fitness facilities for their physical development. The CSPF staff of the sports team development assist our university athletes to achieve their goal in a practical way, with quality facilities, sport science and scholarship athletes support.



The center also hosts an annual swimming championship accredited by the Thailand amateur swimming association yearly, currently there are more than 800 swimmers from 74 swimming clubs participating in the event. Addition, the CSPF instructors are also activity advisors for sport clubs under the supervision of center for student leadership & experimental learning.
