Assumption University of Thailand (AU) has been aware of the COVID-19 pandemic situation and continuously has vigilant measures against the COVID-19 virus to prevent the spread of virus within the university.

Assumption University Receiving COVID-19 VaccinationOffice of Human Resources Management, in collaboration with Social Security Office and Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, conducted a COVID-19 vaccination interest survey to explore the information of vaccination against COVID-19 among AU’s administrators, faculty and staff.

The details of the AU personnel’s interest in COVID-19 vaccination are as follows:

  1. June 11, 2021, appointed for 300 interested in the vaccination at Ramkhamhaeng University
  2. June 14, 2021, appointed for 300 at Ramkhamhaeng University

On June 12, 2021, Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) live streamed on Facebook and YouTube at the same time to inform AU students to register for the vaccination between June 16-23, 2021, before a start of vaccination.

In addition to various international programs, Assumption University also focuses on its undergraduates and graduates to achieve academic excellence and good health, which is defined in Vision 2000. The Assumption University Graduates, Assumption University of Thailand, envisions its graduates as healthy and open-minded persons, characterized by personal integrity, an independent mind, and creative thinking.

In this regard, Office of Vice- President for Student Affairs continuously supports and promotes health by varieties of activities. AU Care, as an example, is the activity that checks the health of new students of the university in order to prepare health history records of students and provide advice and health care service so as for them to be healthy, both physically and mentally, and to study happily at Assumption University.

Furthermore, Office of Vice- President for Student Affairs organizes new student sports competitions from various faculties to build unity, friendships, and supportiveness, rather than winning or loss in a game. Those establishments are encouraged to recognize the statements, by Rev. Bro. Dr. Prathip Martin Komolmas, President Emeritus, as a reminder posted at the John Paul ll Sports Center.

His statements remind athletes and fitness enthusiasts of the true principles of sports:

“The purpose of sports is not to win but to recreate and to educate; just as in life, its purpose is not to succeed but to struggle and to live. Remember that sport operates upon the basis of Law and Order. In this context, a man has a chance to experience himself as a human being.”


In terms of the promotion of sports skills to compete in various sports competitions, Center for Sports and Physical Fitness, Student Affairs, has also promoted and supported in various fields, such as arranging a place to practice, providing expertise and experienced trainers specific to the sport, and coordinating in sending athletes to participate in various competitions on a regular basis, such as University Games of Thailand. In addition, to promote sports for fitness and health, the Center organizes various sports activities within the university, such as the AU Fit for Run project.

In the parts of administrators, faculty, and staff, Office of Human Resources Management has annually provided health benefits for everyone to have good health and to happily work together. The health projects are, for example, Annual Physical Check-up Program, Flu Vaccination, and other health urgent projects.
