True 5G’s Digitally Cashless Advanced Payment Systems to become a Reality at Assumption University
True Corporation Public Co. Ltd., has selected Assumption University as the first privileged academic institution in Thailand to launch the “True 5G SMART UNIVERISTY COME TRUE” Project making it a practical reality; to employ the most advanced digitally cashless payment systems for the convenience of AU personnel and students to benefit from the fast payment systems.
Through this most modern project, AU students will enjoy the benefits of easiest, quickest payment system using “True Money Wallet” to apply in all expenses: i.e. tuition fees, food and services of all shops or outlets located inside the university’s premises and earn up to the highest 500True points.
This highly creative project will also contribute to the overall development and upgrading of Assumption University’s modern innovation, smart learning & educational system and highly innovative digital facilities.
The resulting creation of the True Lab@Assumption, will further facilitate the communication networks as the basis for full scale development, research and innovation. Moreover, more than 1600 WiFi/45/5G network points will be installed at both at Hua Mak and Suvarnabhumi Campuses within April 2021 thus boosting the most advanced, modern, digital age lifestyles; contributing to more fruitful education: teaching and learning, training and research methods leading to successful careers or professions.
This is the True’s noble mission of spearheading sustainable education in the digital age and thus transforming Thailand into a smart genius era.
This genius project is the continued cooperation of “Smart University” mission previously initiated by Assumption University and True Corporation on June 13, 2019. The “Smart University” project, mutually agreed upon by the high executives of both Assumption University and True Corporation, is directed towards overall upgrading and development of the university’s modern education and systematic cashless society through “True Money Wallet”
In addition, the True Lab @ Assumption University serves as the Co-working Space to support the full scale learning, education, innovation, technology and development. To rephrase, the collaborative project entails initiation and developments in the following major areas:
- Development of WiFi/45/5G infrastructure inside the university
- True Lab: “Education and Co-working Space” and “True 5G World of Smart Education with Temi Robot Bootcamp”
- Digitally Cashless Payment system for tuition fees and other expenses utilizing True Money Wallet through AU Spark App. and earning True Points (AU as the first University in Thailand to enjoy such benefits; including the installation of True Vending Machines).
- Support of the University’s related social services, activities and responsibilities.
- Provision of special digital related benefits to both AU personnel and students.
Witnessing the official launching event on November 10, 2020 at Suvarnabhumi Campus, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, delivered welcoming and saluting remarks for the remarkable cooperation and efforts launched by True Corporation at Assumption University rendering great benefits to the University’s faculty, personnel and most important of all students and with the mutual advantages for both parties.
The momentous launching event was fully participated by administrators, faculty, staff, students and high executives of True Corporation.
