Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry visited Assumption University of Thailand to sign a cooperation agreement and start a journey of international cooperation.

Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry is a vocational college located in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province in southwestern China. It was started in 1951. In 2014, it was approved by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government to be established as a public full-time higher vocational technical college.

On March 29, 2023, the president of Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry and his party visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU). They were also the first Chinese universities to visit Assumption University after the opening of the new crown epidemic in China. This visit is of great significance, and it is another historic moment in the development of international education in China and Thailand.

Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry and Assumption University held talks on the inter- university cooperation between the two schools, and also learned about the advantages and characteristics of Assumption University in terms of teaching and scientific research.

Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry visited the School of Engineering of Assumption University of Thailand.

Subsequently, Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry and Assumption University jointly participated in the "Sichuan-Thailand Economic and Trade Promotion Exhibition" and signed an international cooperation agreement between the two schools at the conference. Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, and Xu Yixin, director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, witnessed this historic moment. The signing of this cooperation agreement will further strengthen the academic exchanges and mutual visits between teachers and students between the two universities, and promote cooperation and exchanges in the field of higher education between China and Thailand.

It is believed that with the joint efforts of both parties, the cooperation between the two schools will be more in-depth and extensive in the future, and contribute to the development of education in China and Thailand.
