On May 25, 2024, Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) hosted an engaging and educational youth camp titled Food Detective. This full-day event, held from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, brought together enthusiastic young minds to explore the fascinating world of biotechnology and its applications in microbiology
The camp aimed to provide participants with hands-on learning experiences and deepen their understanding of how microbiology is related to biotechnology and its application to produce healthy fermented food products. The day was divided into two main sessions:
Morning Session: Participants attended lectures designed to expand their knowledge on introduction to microbiology, the unseen microorganisms aseptic techniques, etc. These lectures were delivered by A.Tik & A. Yuy, offering informative session to widen the knowledge of biotogy of the young minds.
Afternoon Session: The focus shifted to practical learning in the Food Microbiology lab. Participants had the opportunity to conduct real experiments, enhancing their laboratory skills and reinforcing the concepts discussed during the morning session.
The event was a great success, with all participants receiving certificates of completion, ensuring a more interactive and personalized experience for everyone involved.
