Thomas Aquinas School of Law in corporation with The Asian Law Students Association of Assumption University of Thailand (ALSA AU) organized the “ALSA AU Debate Competition 2022” on Monday 19 September 2022 at Salle d’ Expo, Hua Mak Campus, to promote students’ analytical thinking, legal reasoning, research, teamwork, and public speaking skills, including inculcation of social awareness and responsibilities as an active citizen of the country.

The debating topics are

  1. Should medical measures be applied to the criminal committed offenses against sexuality and violence?
  2. One China Policy will be beneficial to the world or not?
  3. Law and morals should be separated or not? and
  4. The prime minister has already been in his office for 8 years consecutively or not? All of these topics are widely criticized in society nowadays.
Assistant Professor Dr. Sthianrapab Naluang, the Dean of the School of Law, kindly presented and addressed welcoming and closing remarks to approximately 60 organizing staff and participants. The adjudicators of this competition were Asst. Prof. Nachatchaya Thongjan, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, A. Aek Wonganant, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance, and A. Pitchaya Dhampipit, Full-time lecturer. 


The winner is “I-ti-pi-suay Team” (ทีมอิติปิสวย) composed;

  2. Miss Penpitcha Ruangjuy
  3. Miss Phatlapha Limthong
  4. Miss Nantnapas Sumanant
  5. Miss Chaowjom Assawathanon

They were all first-year students who obtained certificates of excellence and a prize of 3,000 Baht.
