Assumption University of Thailand (AU) Theodore Maria School of Arts held its Graduation Orientation for the second and third trimesters of 2023 on February 23, 2024, at the John Paul XXIII Conference Center. The event aimed to inspire pride in graduating students both as members of Assumption University and as students of the arts.

Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice President for Moral Development Education, The University Campus Ministry, and Director, John Paul II Center for Catholic Social Thought, opened the session with a video clip emphasizing the importance of constructive communication and self-appreciation when facing criticism. He encouraged students not to judge others based solely on their appearances.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean of Arts, shared three key takeaways for a successful life: Lifelong Learning, Self-Esteem, and Persistence. He stressed the importance of continuous self-education, high self-esteem, and relentless perseverance.

Dr. Danuda Ruangsiradecho, President of the Assumption University Alumni Association (AUAA), provided insights into the association's foundation and its activities over the past year, encouraging graduates to stay connected with their alma mater.

Alumni guest speaker Khun Pitinun Panyasriwinit shared valuable advice on self-discovery and career selection, drawing from personal post-graduation experiences. She highlighted the importance of maintaining a growth mindset for future success.


 

 

 

 

The event also featured congratulatory messages from the Chairpersons and Directors of seven departments, including English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Ethics, and General Education.

Ajarn Piya Sailomlaksa from the Career Development and Counseling Center (CCDC) presented a video on job opportunities, showcasing statistics on Assumption University students' job placements after graduation. He emphasized the importance of soft skills in the job market.

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President concluded the orientation with a speech to the graduates, focusing on leading a successful life by valuing and learning from others' experiences.

The Graduation Orientation was a heartfelt celebration of the accomplishments of the Theodore Maria School of Arts' graduating students, offering them guidance and inspiration as they embark on their next journey.
