Assumption University’s Hua Mak Campus was abuzz with legal insights and intellectual discourse as the Asian Law Students Association of Assumption University (ALSA AU) successfully hosted the much-anticipated ALSA AU & KU Talk 2023 on Friday, 24 November. Under the theme “Law in Challenging Issues,” the event brought together law students, esteemed academics, and legal professionals.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sthianrapab Naluang, Dean of Thomas Aquinas School of Law, setting the tone for a day of thought-provoking discussions. Participants engaged in insightful talks from distinguished speakers like Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattapong Suwan-in on “IP Law and Thailand in Transition,” and A. Yuranan Yuvanont's take on “Digital Law and the Country Development.”

A highlight was the engaging session on “PDPA: Guarding Your Information, Empowering Your Rights” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeda Showtimanon from Ramkhamhaeng University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pisawat Sukonthapan’s talk on “Coping with a Child’s Misconduct” provided a nuanced look at juvenile justice, enhanced by perspectives from ALSA representatives.

The event also featured a lively Q&A session, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas among participants. The day concluded with a relationship enhancement activity between ALSA AU and KU, further strengthening the bonds between these prominent law student communities.
