Assumption University's Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design (AAU), Department of Interior Architecture is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition, Out-of-Door “Glamping Together," organized in collaboration with industry professionals a collaborative project between the students and industry professionals. The exhibition, organized as part of the IN4306 Furniture Production course, showcases the merging of design and business models to create sustainable and innovative solutions for the future.

Students from AAU had the opportunity to meet with five brands: Qualy Design, Earthology Studio, Lasunya, Homework Fabrics, and Amo_Arte. These brands shared valuable expertise by introducing guidelines for special product development, with a focus on the principles of the circular economy. This collaboration aims to showcase the potential of merging creativity, business acumen, and sustainability in the field of design to create innovative solutions for the future.

Embracing the circular economy in furniture production means shifting away from the traditional linear model of "take-make-dispose" to a more sustainable and regenerative approach. Participating students have explored innovative ways to design furniture that enhances the glamping experience while adhering to circularity principles.

By carefully selecting materials, considering durability, and incorporating modular and adaptable design elements, the students strive to create furniture pieces with extended lifespans that can be easily disassembled or repurposed. Through this exhibition, AAU aims to inspire sustainable practices in the furniture production industry and highlight the potential for a more environmentally conscious approach to designing furniture.

The Out-of-Door “Glamping Together" exhibition is a platform that showcases AAU's commitment to training students to think innovatively and responsibly about the entire lifecycle of their designs. It exemplifies how the integration of design and business can contribute to a more sustainable future for the industry.

The exhibition will take place at the Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC) from September 30 to October 29, 2023. Attendees can expect an immersive and inspiring experience, witnessing innovative concepts and the entrepreneurial spirit of AAU's students.
