From August 15th to 17th, 2024, Thailand’s best fourth-year engineering students gathered for the Thailand Excellent Engineering Student Academic Camp 2024. Organized by the Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. The King’s Patronage, the camp brought together the top students from universities across the country, each representing their school as the highest GPA holder.
One of the standout participants was Mr. Sirin Kitcharoen, the top student Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology (VMES). Mr. Sirin joined other top students at the Thai Obayashi construction site in Chonburi, where they learned about career paths in engineering and visited major construction projects. The students also toured the Institute of Marine Science in Bangsaen and explored operations at other engineering companies.
“We’re extremely proud of Mr. Sirin,” said Assistant Professor Dr. Narong Aphiratsakun, Dean of VMES. “His hard work and dedication have earned him this opportunity, and we’re confident this experience will further his knowledge and career in engineering.”
This camp not only provided Mr. Sirin and his peers with invaluable industry insights and hands-on experiences but also served as a launchpad for their future careers. As these top students return to their universities, they carry with them the knowledge, connections, and inspiration to drive innovation and excellence in Thailand's engineering landscape. The future of engineering in Thailand looks bright with such dedicated and talented individuals leading the way.
Congratulations to Mr. Sirin Kitcharoen on this impressive achievement.
