The Salle d’ Expo Room, at Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’ s Hua Mak Campus was buzzing with excitement today as students and culture enthusiasts gathered for the Arts Language Fun Fest 2024. Organized by the Theodore Maria School of Arts, the event exceeded all expectations with its unique combination of educational competitions, creative cosplay, and cultural showcases. The event drew the best and brightest high school students from across Bangkok.

Event Highlights

Brain Battle with Business English: A thrilling contest that challenged participants' English language skills and business acumen, leaving the audience inspired by innovative ideas and solutions.

Chinese Prompter Challenge: Contestants showcased their fluency and quick thinking in Chinese, keeping spectators engaged with their impressive linguistic prowess.

Japanese Freestyle Cosplay: Creativity took center stage as participants dazzled in elaborate costumes, embodying their favorite Japanese characters with flair.
In addition to the competitions, the festival featured cultural shows and fun games, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for diversity.


 

 

Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, President of AU, who generously opened the Fun Fest, expressed his gratitude to the organizers and reminded students of the university's core values: "As an international Catholic university, AU is dedicated to fostering the 3 E’s – Ethics, English, and Entrepreneurial Spirit. Today's event embodies these values, and I commend everyone involved for creating such an inspiring and engaging platform for learning."

“Today’s Arts Language Fun Fest has shown us how powerful languages and culture can be in bringing people together,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean of Theodore Maria School of Arts. “I’m proud of our participants and grateful to everyone who made this event a success. This festival has inspired us all to celebrate our shared love for language and creativity.”

Students left the event with more than just certificates and prizes; they carried home newfound friendships and a deeper appreciation for languages and cultures. The Theodore Maria School of Arts eagerly looks forward to hosting the Arts Language Fun Fest again next year, promising even more excitement and engagement.
