The Capping Ceremony for Nursing Students, Class of 2023, was organized by the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Salle d’ Expo, Hua Mak Campus, Assumption University of Thailand.

The Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science annually organizes this Capping Ceremony for the qualified nursing students who have completed their basic professional nursing training both theory and clinical practicum. This ceremony aims to adorn nursing caps to qualified nursing students; to inspire nursing students for continuing their study successfully; and to promote students’ good attitude toward nursing profession.

 
 
 
 

The ceremony consists of Academic procession; Opening and closing prayers by Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice President for Moral Development Education & The University Campus Minister; Academic address by Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, Dean of Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science; Capping Ceremony by the Dean, faculty members, and second year students; Commentary speech by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, the President of Assumption University of Thailand; and photo session.

 
 
 

On this occasion, A. Suttikorn Tocharoenniwatsai, a faculty member of Louis Nobiron School of Music acted as a music conductor for the nursing students who attended the ceremony. In addition, Mr. Kittipich Pinyasiri, an alumnus of Louis Nobiron School of Music, played piano in this event.

 
 

There were 65 participants consisting of AU administrators, distinguished guests, parents, faculty members, and students. There are sixteen second year students attending this ceremony. Fourteen female students received the nursing caps, and two male students received the pins. There were thirteen Thai, two Chinese, and one Filipino students attending this capping ceremony.
