On 18 January 2023 at Grand Saloon Room, Suvarnabhumi Campus, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice Rector for Moral Development Education, the University Campus Minister honored to attend the blessing speech ceremony to Assumption University athletes before attending the 48th Thai University Games “Dok Chan Ban Chiang Games” during 21 – 30 January 2023 at Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Udon Thani Province.

On this occasion, the President reminded all athletes to understand the goals of using sports for self-development in various dimensions, building good relationships with fellow athletes from different institutes, being aware of proper conduct as the representative of the university and doing athlete’s duty the best. After the speech, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran bestowed the university flag to the leader of the university athletes, Mr. Nukul Chaisuriya, Director of Center for Sports and Physical Fitness.

49 athletes from the University will compete in the 48th Thai University Games “Dok Chan Ban Chiang Games” for 9 types of sports, tennis, swimming, badminton, taekwondo, jujitsu, hapkido, Go, Crossword, and table tennis along with the team of managers, trainers, physiotherapists, and working staff will effectively support the athletes in this sports competition.

The 48th Thai University Games “Dok Chan Ban Chiang Games” is organized with the concept of Spirit of the Games; great victory is sportsmanship. There are 122 universities participating in the competition of 35 sports during 21 – 30 January 2023 at Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Udon Thani Province and the opening ceremony will be held on Sunday 22 January 2023.
